At your initial collaborative session, you will set up a series of "four-way
conferences" in which you, your spouse, and your lawyers will participate.
You will agree to a definite time period for each of these meetings. Before
the initial four-way, you and your spouse will be asked to gather necessary
data and documents regarding assets, liabilities, income and other relevant
materials. The process concludes when a settlement agreement is signed and an agreed
order is submitted to the court. In the event a settlement cannot be reached,
you, your spouse and your lawyers agree that both lawyers will withdraw
from representation. In that event, you and your spouse may retain new
lawyers and proceed to court.
